Subject: Tarball doesn't include inc/Devel/CheckLib.pm
It also looks like the Makefile.PL in the tarball is not in sync with the Makefile.PL in the repository. (Missing at least "use lib 'inc';") Tarball: https://metacpan.org/source/GBARR/Authen-SASL-XS-1.00/Makefile.PL Repo: https://github.com/gbarr/perl-authen-sasl-xs/blob/master/Makefile.PL Given that this shipped in 2009 and hasn't been fixed it makes me wonder if anyone is using it -- do you know if this module has been in production use? As Authen::SASL::Cyrus has a release in 2011, do you still recommend ::XS over ::Cyrus? Regards, David

::XS was a fork from ::Cyrus because the author was being unresponsive. I know people were using using, but I do not know if anyone is now. It seems odd that the Makefile.PL that is released does not ever exist in the repository. I have no idea how that happened. I am not in an environment where I can easily test this anymore. If what is in the repo tests OK, I can make a new release. Graham.

t/plain.t passes for me. I haven't tried to set up GSSAPI tests. Thanks, David

Please do make a new release where the Devel::CheckLib is a proper build time dependency.
