5.90069_002 and later versions causes this error in ESI sub requests: [error] Couldn't render template "index/index.tt: file error - recursion into 'index/index.tt'" when using the SubRequest module instead of ESI and Varnish.

Catalyst::Plugin::Subrequest needs to be updated. There's a patch https://gist.github.com/jjn1056/9947765 that should do it. I need someone to step up and take over the module. If you use it and want to do that please let em know. Otherwise this is a bug on that plugin so I'm going to close this.
