Subject: Gtk2 needs to be listed in prereqs
When I installed Devel-MAT and ran pmat-explore-gtk command, the right portion of its window wasn't loading. On the command line, I was receiving this error: *** unhandled exception in callback: *** Can't locate object method "get_size" via package "Gtk2::Table" at /home/zoffix/perl5/bin/pmat-explore-gtk line 414. *** ignoring at /home/zoffix/perl5/bin/pmat-explore-gtk line 404. Upgrading Gtk2 module solved the issue (right now I have Gtk2-1.2491). This package probably needs to be listed in prereqs. -- Cheers, ZZ [ https://metacpan.org/author/ZOFFIX ]

Ah; this one. Yeah - the long-term aim for this is that actually the GTK explorer is going to move out into its own dist, where that dependency can of course be declared. I didn't want to make the base distribution depend on Gtk2 itself, because then it wouldn't be installable on servers, etc... where it can still be useful to have the dumper, or even any of the non-GTK utilities. -- Paul Evans
This is no longer an issue for the Devel-MAT distribution. The GTK explorer part has been moved to its own dist (App-Devel-MAT-Explorer-GTK) which does indeed list GTK as a dependency. -- Paul Evans
