Tie::COmma looks great. I may be abusing the module -
use Tie::Comma;
$Tie::Comma::thou_sep = 't';
$Tie::Comma::deci_sep = 'd';
print "$comma{24 * 3600, 2}\n";
the output is -
86t400.00
that is the 'deci_sep' is ignored.
