Committed to master, thanks! But please do note that Gnome2::GConf is in deep maintenance-only mode, so there will not be a new release any time soon unless code bug fixes become necessary.

It turns out that our git repository was archived a while ago by the GNOME admins due to inactivity. We would need to ask for it to be reinstated in order to push this commit. Is it worth the effort?

probably not - I mainly wanted to make sure these things don't sit in a Debian patch queue without ever getting forwarded upstream, where they belong IMHO. thanks for caring, Florian
