Subject: Install fails on 5.16.3
I can't replicate this locally, presumably because some of my local modules have been updated, but when trying to install on a fresh system with perl 5.16.3 I get this: Configuring JSON-MaybeXS-1.002000 ... Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference at Makefile.PL line 53.

Confirmed -- if EUMM is at a particular version, this line does not work. Fixing ASAP (and will fix the code in the other distribution that I cribbed it from).
