Subject: Support other URL schemes other than http(s)?
For example ftp:// and file: (e.g. for minicpan or local darkpan).
Hi Steven, I assume you're referring to the 'path' attribute here, rather than the 'url' attribute? What exactly are you trying to do / achieve? Cheers, Neil

Hi Neil, Sorry for not being clear. I was refeerring to the url. There are CPAN mirrors that are not HTTP mirrors, e.g ftp mirrors or local disk ones. Or imagine ypu have the index file on disk and you want to test/parse it. I think the simplest remedy would be to replace http::tiny with lwp. Sorry for the typos and miscaps. Typing this on a phone :) Show quoted text

You can use the path attribute when creating any of my PAUSE:: modules, to give the path to a local copy of the index. I notice that this isn't mentioned in the doc for all of them :-( I'll fix that! Cheers, Neil
