We can remove it once 3.8 is gone (we can probably remove it now since
we're unlikely to release any modules we intend to be 3.8-compatible).
This also will fix the fact that if you type in a full path like
/opt/foo/rt we tack rt3/lib and lib/rt3 onto that path, but leave off
rt4 (whoops). Really, if you're passing a full path, we should just
search that path, maybe with a lib on it.
