Subject: goto distropref causes false failure
Date: Tue, 21 Jan 2014 17:03:13 +0000

If I try to install things from the cpan(1) command line, and some module being installed (either directly or as a dependency) is subject to a "goto" distropref that downgrades it, then cpan(1) ultimately exits with a failure status (1), even if everything actually installed correctly. In my case that convinces a build script that something failed, aborting a build that was otherwise working. This is CPAN-2.00 on Perl 5.18.2. -zefram

Do you know which modules tweaked this issue?

I specifically ran into it downgrading SQL-Abstract-1.77 to 1.75 in order to avoid breaking DBIx-Class. -zefram
