... while many operations (eg. search) only require the API key. Would it be possible to eliminate the requirement for the secret in the constructor?

Oh. Hmm. I wonder if that's changed in the past few years? (Or if I'd misread the spec the whole time) If it's not required, then I'm quite happy for the requirement to be removed. It'll make unit testing simpler too. If you have the time, feel free to submit a pull request to https://github.com/TJC/Flickr-API2 Otherwise I'll try and get around to it sometime when I have a couple of hours free. Thanks for taking the time to follow this up.
