Confirmed. Bisect points to e65b8788cb218a2990a033d0c60a3dd9f737afaf but there's more than one commit involved.
One must switch back to 2.00, all 2.0x-TRIAL releases have this bug.
Will followup ASAP.

I just pushed a commit to the repository that has 'force install' again working.
Unless I hear better suggestions I will turn that state into a new TRIAL release.
