Subject: Generated shared-files.tar.gz is garbled
Hi Yanick, I just noticed today that my shared-files.tar.gz is garbled: $ file Sah-0.9.26/share/shared-files.tar.gz Sah-0.9.26/share/shared-files.tar.gz: data I don't know yet why it happens. It probably starts happening after I upgraded to Dist::Zilla 5.0. Probably encoding-related? Attached is the output of 'dzil build -v' for my CPAN distribution (Sah) as well as the generated shared-files.tar.gz. For a quick-fix I currently switch back to ShareDir, but I'd really like to use ShareDir::Tarball instead. Regards, Steven

I think that's a good guess. Dzil 5.0 introduced forceful utf8 convertion, so that's probably what is garbling the tarball. I'll take a look at that as soon as I can! Thanks, `/.
