Subject: Why a separate module?
Why not patch Dist::Zilla::Plugin::PodWeaver, rather than releasing a new module to add this extra functionality?

I did plan a patch, and this morning I saw that RJBS added this himself :-) https://github.com/rjbs/Dist-Zilla-Plugin-PodWeaver/commit/2065387ccdb9036b99f710a980090946a5b54eaf purging this dist from CPAN... Regards, Steven
