Subject: [PATCH] missing '=encoding UTF-8' may make pod2man to add 'POD ERRORS' section
Date: Tue, 5 Nov 2013 19:46:36 +0200
To: bug-file-homedir [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Damyan Ivanov <dmn [...] debian.org>
Hi, In Debian we are currently applying the attached trivial patch to File-HomeDir. We thought you might be interested in it, too. The patch adds '=encoding UTF-8' to the POD so that pod2man knows what encoding the text is. Without this, and when running under a non-UTF-8 locale, pod2man emits a 'POD ERRORS' section to the generated manual, complaining about high-bit chacters in the input. Thanks in advance, Damyan Ivanov, Debian Perl Group
