In your test you're using threads module, which only works with for perl
built in a special way (-Dusethreads).
Many OS vendors ship perl with threads enabled, but not all of them.
There's also people who disable threads explicitly for various reasons.
Making the test suite not depend on threads would allow _everyone_ to
install Net::SIGTRAN without any hassle.
