File-chmod's t/read.t and t/write.t tests assume that setting a file's read/write permission bits will affect whether Perl's -r/-w file tests return true. This is not the case for root (more specifically, for a user with DAC override privilege). Tests based on -r/-w need to be skipped when run as a privileged user. -zefram
