Subject: Categories 'new_*' do not scale over time
The 'tlds' function accepts an argument that is a category in which TLDs are classified. Unfortunately some of theese categories have names that do not scale over time: - new_open - new_restricted In 2013, I do not consider '.info' to be 'new'. -- Olivier Mengué - http://perlresume.org/DOLMEN
long, long time ago such TLD's were classified as new or restricted the modules has preserved this structure over time so that it remains compatible with whatever else uses it new version should utilize the structure as per below https://www.iana.org/domains/root/db where they could be grouped by their type On Mon Sep 09 09:27:00 2013, DOLMEN wrote: Show quoted text
