Subject: Installation fails - tar.gz file missing
Installation fails for 0.23 . There seems to be a version 0.23 on search.cpan.org (which my CPAN client picks up on), http://search.cpan.org/~vpit/Scope-Upper-0.23/lib/Scope/Upper.pm but www.cpan.org doesn't have the corresponding tar.gz file: --> Working on Scope::Upper Fetching http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/V/VP/VPIT/Scope-Upper-0.23.tar.gz ... FAIL ! Download http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/V/VP/VPIT/Scope-Upper-0.23.tar.gz failed. Retrying ... I don't know if this is a mirror problem, but www.cpan.org seems fairly central. Is the file on PAUSE? /J

Hello to you too. Thanks for your report. www.cpan.org is not a proper CPAN mirror, but redirects to a CPAN mirror close to you depending on the geolocation of your IP address. I can reproduce your issue from Europe, where www.cpan.org points to eu3.develooper.org. Which mirror are you actually using? You can check this by running "nslookup www.cpan.org" from a terminal. The file itself has been correctly uploaded, as the cpan reports collected for this distribution can testify (http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Scope-Upper+0.23). I've mailed eu3.develooper.org's admin about this issue, but there's not much more that I can do. Vincent
