If the hostname from an incoming syslog message has a number in it, Net::SyslogD->hostname() is blank, Net::SysLogD->time may have part of the hostname and the rest is in the message. _____ Arthur Donchey "Only 2 defining forces have ever offered to die for you....Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. Also has a slight error with hostnames that start with three capital letters - parsed as timezone. Fixed in candidate version 0.09_1 sent to Arthur for testing. Will release as CPAN version 0.10 when testing verified. cheers.
Resolved by fixing REGEX - new version 0.10 uploaded to CPAN.
