Subject: dbicdump: No schema returned when Postres Database has a 'space' in the name.
Date: Thu, 15 Aug 2013 15:11:01 +0930
To: bug-DBIx-Class-Schema-Loader [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Paul Schulz <paul [...] mawsonlakes.org>
Greetings, dbicdump, version 0.07025 Thank you for writing this program. This may be due to an underlying module or library, when I try and produce a schema for a PostgreSQL database that has a 'space' in the name, I get an empty schema created. (One top level file, not table definitions.) While I am not particularly fond of Database names with whitespace,, and will be changing this one shortly, no error or warning is produced by dbicdump (even with debug=1). I am using the package version (libdbix-class-schema-loader-perl) or Ubuntu 13.04. ( 0.07025 ) Regards, Paul

Apologies. I renamed the database to something without whitespace and it still failed to extract the schema, so this isn't the issue.

Solved! Found the issue... I need to use the option ' -o db_schema=myschema ' On Fri, Aug 16, 2013 at 9:46 AM, Paul Schulz <paul@mawsonlakes.org> wrote: Show quoted text

Yes, db_schema defaults to ['public'] if not otherwise specified. Marking the ticket as rejected.
