Hi as You know ffprobe allow to use URL as path to stream. like ffprobe -i ffprobe -i udp://239.100.0.2:4422 In case if network stream not reachable or frozen by some reason FFprobe froze too. There impossible to set timeout. Tested in Ubuntu 12.04, perl v5.14.2 Best Regards Sergiy Zaschipas
