Subject: Upgrading to 0.0499 from 0,049 no longer sends test reports
I've upgraded to 0.0499 from 0.049 (manually installing using Build.PL from command line, since I had an older version of Module::Build that would not install from CPAN+. All tests passed). Test reports are no longer sent out, even though the cpantest flag is set. When I run tests, it says that it sent test reports successfully. Test reports never show up in cpan testers list, so I assume they have not been sent. I doubt that the maintainers of the mailing list changed the configuration in such a way as to block my reports at the same exact time that I upgraded CPAN+. I have tried reinstalling Test::Reporter. No fixes.

I'm not sure what to say here; we simply pass along the return value that test::reporter gives us. Does trying to send the report yourself via Test::Reporter work? if not, the problem might lie on that side (or network issues) instead... -- Jos Boumans "Two rules to success in life: 1. Ok, after some debugging. It seems that my "from" address is now 'postmaster@localhost', so something changed my configuration when I upgraded. Where is this set?

I've found the problem. Since when I upgraded I changed the ftp email to be default @example.com (I don't recall changing it), it now doesn't set the from address. On Windows Test::Reporter does not know how to figure out the address, so leaves it as postmaster@localhost. A warning should be added for Windows machines to say that it's not defined. Or maybe a separate configuration option as the From address for reports.
Please try upgrading to the latest version of Test::Reporter; I think that the changes I've made since this bug was first reported for Windows users shall repair the failure. Please let me know if it doesn't. - R.
