Subject: Announce will not display for users unless they are priveleged
Date: Fri, 3 May 2013 12:21:34 -0500
To: <bug-RT-Extension-Announce [...] rt.cpan.org>
From: "Drew H. Wood" <drew.wood [...] eurekaspringshospital.com>
I cannot seem to get this plugin to function properly. It will display for my privileged users, but not for normal users that are submitting tickets in the system. I have tried every variation of rights that I can think of, but it does not seem to make any difference. I also tried making the change that was in the only other ticket created so far about Announce but it did not change anything. Do you have a suggestion of something that didn't work maybe in the install, or other? Thanks, Drew Wood

Right now announcements aren't displayed on the Self-Service interface, which is the one used by unprivileged users. We expect to add this functionality in an update fairly soon. Another user submitted a ticket with some code to add this (#84711). I haven't tried it, but it might work for you if you don't want to wait for the new version.

Thanks for the reply. I did try that code to see if it made any difference and it did not seem to. Keep up the great work! Drew Show quoted text

We added SelfService display in the latest release, just uploaded to CPAN.
