Subject: Test suite hangs on FreeBSD system
See subject. The corresponding fail reports should appear by tomorrow at cpantesters.org. I did not look into this issue, but my usual guess is: you're using a File::Temp-generated temporary file and doing a lock on it. On *BSD systems File::Temp automatically locks the temporary file, so things are hanging here. See also O_EXLOCK in the File::Temp documentation. Regards, Slaven
I'm not using File::Temp generated files. I've just uploaded a new version. Can you check with version 2013.05? Thanks, -Dave On Fri Apr 05 08:25:55 2013, SREZIC wrote: Show quoted text

Hello Dave, it still fails with 2013.06. I am attaching two reports on a freebsd 8.0 and freebsd 9.0 machine. Regards, Slaven

I installed a FreeBSD 9 system to test with. I found issues with IO::Event and fixed those. They caused failures, not hanging so I'm not sure I found the problem you saw. Please try 2013.07 -- it requires the new IO::Event. Thanks! -Dave On Sat Apr 06 04:30:18 2013, SREZIC wrote: Show quoted text

Looks good now: http://217.199.168.174/cgi-bin/cpantestersmatrix.pl?dist=File-Flock There's just an issue with perl 5.8.9 (it seems like it's about "my $_"), but this is another issue. Regards, Slaven Show quoted text
