Subject: Question on the subject of recurring tickets

hi, I read the blog post 'http://blog.bestpractical.com/2013/03/scheduled-ticket-creation-in-rt.html'. Something I did not see from the blogpost, wether or not the subject of the recurring tickets can differ. Basically what we need is something like 'Foobar 03/2013' (and ticket is created via recurring tickets on 1st of March) 'Foobar 04/2013' (and ticket is created via recurring tickets on 1st of April) Which is basically a subject that can be filled with variabled depending on the recurrance. is this currently possible or a wishlist item? thanks and happy easter! felix kronlage -- bytemine GmbH - Entwicklungsmanufaktur fuer innovative Loesungen Geschaeftsfuehrer: Felix Kronlage Marie-Curie-Str. 1 / 26129 Oldenburg Support : (+49)(0)441 - 309197-42 Vertrieb: (+49)(0)441 - 309197-69 Fax : (+49)(0)441 - 309197-99 http://www.bytemine.net/ - info@bytemine.net AG Oldenburg - HRB 203940 VAT-Number: DE267286778 Felix Kronlage - kronlage@bytemine.net - FKR-RIPE Kommunikation gerne mit GPG/PGP: 0xD9AC74D0 Want to transmit sensitive documents? Right now new tickets pull their subject from the original ticket and they are the same. It shouldn't be too hard to add something to the subject. The due date is available in RT, but I suppose having the date in the subject might be useful in email. Another option would be to create a template that includes the due date (in the subject or email body) for On Create for certain tickets. Thanks for the suggestion. I think having some options to add something to the subject to differentiate tickets, especially when you might have multiple active at once, might be a useful feature in the future. The question is what to put there, date being one option.
I uploaded a new version of RT::Extension::RepeatTicket today that adds a config option allowing you to change the subject of repeated tickets. Give it a try and see if it solves your problem.
