Subject: alignment test obsolete
Date: Wed, 13 Mar 2013 15:35:39 +0000
To: bug-Digest-MD4 [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Zefram <zefram [...] fysh.org>
The alignment test that Digest-MD4's Makefile.PL performs is out of date in three respects. Firstly, the compilation logic can't handle a shared libperl.so. Secondly, its check that the byte order is conventional barfs on 64-bit builds. But most importantly, the result of the test isn't actually used. Attached patch dikes out the obsolete stuff. -zefram
