Subject: Tests fail with certain proxy environment configutations
The environment variable HTTP_PROXY will take precedence over the environment variable http_proxy. This causes the tests to fail on systems with the HTTP_PROXY environment variable set. Unsetting this environment variable prevents this issue.

Apparently the pull request was closed becuause this issue was already fixed - so this RT can also be closed. (but I don't have permissions for that!) -- Mike
