There seems to be a syntax error in t/basic.t "use ok" should be "use_ok"

Nope - this is https://metacpan.org/release/Test-use-ok, which is brought in as a dependency of KiokuDB. The tests should run fine if you satisfy all of the dependencies first.

Aha, it seems kiokudb provided in debian only has Suggests for libtest- use-ok-perl. Sorry ;)
