Subject: | Please consider s/MEST/CEST/ in Time::Zone |
I was a bit surprised the other day, when some software that uses
Time::Zone reported my timezone (during daylight saving) as "MEST" since
I've never seen this before. Outside of daylight saving it's
unsurprisingly CET.
Some research shows that ME(S)T (as in "Middle Europan (Summer) Time")
actually exists as a kind of translation from German Mitteleuropäisch to
English but CE(S)T - Central European (Summer) Time - seems to be more
standard and preferred forms.
Therefore I would like to ask you to consider switching from MEST to
CEST in Time::Zone.
Cheers,
gregor
