Subject: The POD says that RPC::Any is heavily used by Bugzilla, but Bugzilla never depended on it
Date: Fri, 16 Nov 2012 00:57:30 +0100
To: bug-RPC-Any [...] rt.cpan.org
From: "Frédéric Buclin" <lpsolit [...] gmail.com>
http://search.cpan.org/~mkanat/RPC-Any-1.00/lib/RPC/Any.pm#BUGS pretends that: "it has very extensive tests and is being heavily used in a major production application (Bugzilla)." This is totally wrong as Bugzilla never depended on RPC::Any. Giving users the feeling that it's safe to use RPC::Any by using the name of a respectable application like Bugzilla is dishonest. The last part of this sentence must be removed.

Thanks for the bug report! If there is ever another release of RPC::Any, I'm sure that whoever does that release will be sure to follow up on this obviously very serious issue. If you would like to submit a patch, I'm sure whoever the future maintainer of this module ends up being would absolutely love to accept and integrate this very simple patch. -Max On Nov 15, 2012, at 3:57 PM, "Frédéric Buclin via RT" <bug-RPC-Any@rt.cpan.org> wrote: Show quoted text
