While installing Net::FTPServer 1.123 into a home-brew perl that lives in /home/gabor/perl-5.14.2-desktop/bin/perl Everything went fine except: install: cannot create regular file `/etc/ftpd.conf': Permission denied make: *** [install] Error 1 Obviously I don't have permission to write there, but probably Net::FTPServer should not need to install this configuration file in /etc/ At least not always. thanks Gabor
