Subject: mixed date and version order accepted
Date: Sat, 20 Oct 2012 07:26:03 +0200
To: bug-CPAN-Changes [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Gabor Szabo <gabor [...] szabgab.com>
I tried this Changes file: ======================== Revision history for PPIx-EditorTools 0.17 2012.08.19 0.18 2012.10.20 - Bumping version number and including Module::Install 1.06 http://weblog.bulknews.net/post/33907905561/do-not-ship-modules-with-module-install-1-04 0.16 2012.08.15 ======================== and it was accepted. I thought the version and date order is important. Gabor
The reason your changelog was accepted was because the parser tries to get as much of the date as possible from the first part of the string and ignores the rest. So, it's not that the ver/date part was being reversed, it's just that: 0.17 2012.08.19 gets parsed as: version: 0.17 date: 2012 rest: .08.19 A bit of a false-positive, but i'm willing to overlook it at this point.
