Subject: consideration about the name
A Google search on "log scrubber" returns products that deal with log scrubbing. Most of them deal with optimization and filtering in general (like filtering out robots/search engines out of web log entries), not specifically for sensitive information like password or credit card data. "Redact" is the more specific term/verb used for this. Try a CPAN search on the keyword. Perhaps you might want to reconsider the name. Just a suggestion. Regards, Steven
Thank you for the suggestion. My searches turn up results like I would expect using both scrubber and redact. I'll think about a name change. But honestly I'm fond of the name Log::Scrubber. However I do see what you mean about people searching for the term... I have changed the perldoc to use the phrase redaction so that both parties have at least a chance at seeing results.
