perl 5.16.1 but also seen in older perls all distributions up to date I suppose I could disable sqlite tests, but are these failures significant in any way ? I can't tell without more information. Try running an individual test: cd path/to/Rose-DB-Object-0.799 perl -I lib t/db-object-loader-4.t and then reply with the output.
