Subject: Docs should reference Tkx

Since the tkdocs.com examples use Tkx, and the Tk.pm version of the tk code is getting quite old now, I think it would be good for the Tk docs to reference Tkx and make it clear that there are strong reasons for considering Tkx instead for new code. This would also give you somewhere to include an explanation of why you might -not- choose Tkx for new code - I can't immediately see any reason to start new projects with Tk.pm but if that's because I'm ignorant of the reasons for it then rather than simply telling me why I'm wrong it'd be nice to have a POD section that tells everybody :) -- Matt S Trout - Shadowcat Systems - Perl consulting with a commit bit and a clue http://shadowcat.co.uk/blog/matt-s-trout/ http://twitter.com/shadowcat_mst/ Email me now on mst (at) shadowcat.co.uk and let's chat about how our Catalyst commercial support, training and consultancy packages could help your team.

One important reason for me: neither Tkx nor Tcl::Tk seem to compile on freebsd systems out of the box, and that's what I am using. Besides, I find it rather nice that Tk.pm does not depend on external libraries, but can be installed directly from CPAN.pm. But nevertheless I'll add links in Tk.pod's SEE ALSO section.
