The documentation indicate thqt you must import the plugin, but the plugin is only used from rtldapimport. So these lines are not necessary : # Add to any existing plugins Set(@Plugins, qw(RT::Extension::LDAPImport));

Without being in @Plugins, RT won't set lib paths correctly. It is also useful to see if LDAPImport is used from the System Configuration page.

RT doesn't need lib paths since it doesn't use it. rtldapimport script does and does include the lib path in the binary.

Where does rtldapimport include the lib path to RT::Extension::LDAPImport?

I don't know where it comes from. Mine contains : use lib qw(/usr/local/share/request-tracker4/lib /usr/share/request-tracker4/lib /usr/local/share/request-tracker4/plugins/RT-Extension-DictaoLDAPImport/lib); It seems to be generated from : ### after: use lib qw(@RT_LIB_PATH@); use lib '/opt/rt3/local/lib /opt/rt3/lib';

That last lib path was added manually by someone in your install. It is not generated normally. Show quoted text

@RT_LIB_PATH@ comes from Makefile.PL, and doesn't include a plugin lib path.

I added the "Dictao" word because I made a patch, but I thought the remaining part was already there. But the path may have been added before. Sorry for the inconvenience.
