Subject: Compilation with -x c++ causes failure to compile on some systems
According to this bug report, http://www.cpantesters.org/cpan/report/91ab4ea8-b26d-11e1-8cb0- 19cd581fc9ac the -x c++ flag causes compilation failures when it tries to compile the Detector.c file made from Detector.xs.
