Subject: Use GnuPG module instead of the gpg binary
Using a stable interface is probably a good idea, and lets others handle the contortions required to map the gpg binary's interactive interface to a more normal API.

GnuPG hasn't been updated since 2012 and doesn't support gpg v2.
