Subject: incorrect FSF address in COPYING
Date: Wed, 4 Apr 2012 18:46:16 -0400
To: bug-WWW-Shorten [...] rt.cpan.org
From: "Julian C. Dunn" <jdunn [...] aquezada.com>
Hi, I'm packaging this module for the Fedora Project, and Fedora's lint tools show that the address for the Free Software Foundation is out-of-date in COPYING. Perhaps it's worth replacing COPYING with a fresh version of the GPLv2 license? http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.txt Also, I'm not sure if the module is licensed under GPLv1 or GPLv2; cpansearch shows GPLv1/Artistic but you have a copy of GPLv2 included with the distro. - Julian -- [ Julian C. Thanks for the report. I don't usually include a COPYING in my CPAN modules, it's only there because I inherited the module from someone else. I'll correct the details, clarify the licence and get a new release out over the weekend. Cheers, Dave...
Thanks for the nudge. I've decided that I just need to license the module under the Artist Licence 2.0. So I've made the appropriate changes and uploaded version 3.03.
