The package seems to hardcode "-O2 -g" for CFLAGS and "usr/lib" for the
libdir instead of respecting user $CFLAGS var and using abi specific
libdir. This results in a failure, e.g. when one wants to add -m32 to
the CFLAGS to be able to compile a 32bit package on a 64bit system
(which would also require "/usr/lib32" instead of "usr/lib" as libdir.
