Subject: noisy testing
Date: Fri, 3 Feb 2012 10:47:27 +0000
To: bug-Version-Requirements [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Zefram <zefram [...] fysh.org>
Version-Requirements now emits a bunch of deprecation warnings during its test suite. I think these should be suppressed, because they don't indicate anything going wrong in testing. Particularly in the context of the Perl core build, where Version-Requirements is included as a dual-life module, it is distracting noise. -zefram
You know, I'd written a fix for this and committed it, but then never released. Thanks for the reminder! I've released to CPAN and Chris W. has merged to blead. The warnings remain when run in non-core testing, to catch the eye of more people who need warning. -- rjbs
