Subject: Tk failling to install
Trying to install the latest version of Tk on 10.04 ubuntu through the cpan prompt, but keep getting given make errors. 804.028 is already installed, but I can't update it. I was originally getting errors about not having x11 development distributions, but I installed that and I'm still getting errors. build.log attached. perl v5.10.1

I think this kind of error should not happen anymore since the freshly released development version 804.031_500. Anyway, it's also better to install libpng-dev, zlib-dev, and libjpeg-dev, so the bundled versions of the png and jpeg libraries don't have to be built (which is an additional source of failure). README.linux has now hints about it. Regards, Slaven
