Subject: New EC2 Api Function: DescribeInstanceStatus
As of Amazon API Version 2011-11-01, a new command is added to query instance status. http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/AWSEC2/latest/APIReference/index.html? ApiReference-query-DescribeInstanceStatus.html Amazon is currently doing a mandatory rolling restart across the us-east- 1 region, with a 12-day window. Having perl access to this function would have made things much faster/easier.
