I'd guess the issue is more likely a conflict between Moose and
MX::StrictConstructor.
Moose declares conflicts on modules when its API changes, and internal
changes in Moose often break older versions of MX modules.
Markdent, OTOH, doesn't really care too much what Moose is installed, as
long as that Moose works with the MX modules it requires.
