Subject: CGI::Maypole doesn't depend on CGI::Simple
CGI::Maypole needs CGI::Simple. However, Maypole doesn't depend it on it, so it's not automatically installed. Users using mod_perl version shouldn't need CGI::Maypole, and CGI::Simple, so I don't know best solution to this (other than documenting the problem).
