Pod documentation for "Special elements" uses "=item" constructs with
both a '*' and then some text ("=item * C<//>", "=item * C<*>", etc.).
This does not comply with perlpodspec, and confuses some POD parsers
(in particular Pod::POM). Please remove the asterisks, i.e "=item
C<//>", "=item C<*>", etc.
