Subject: About automatic use feature $VERSION
I don't think that automatically calling "use feature $VERSION" is a good idea. Say your script/module depends on the presence of the unicode_strings feature. Then it would behave differently with perls supporting this pragma or not. It's better to explicitly declare what features are needed or not. Regards, Slaven

Did you send this to the right queue? I don’t see any use of ‘use feature’ in RATCLIFFE/Sane- 0.03.tar.gz. Er, wait a minute. This report is against PUNYTAN/sane-0.99.tar.gz. This distribution conflicts with another, as the two cannot be installed together on some platforms. Sane has been around longer than sane, so I think what sane is doing (sharing filenames) is Very Naughty. Good thing it’s not sane enough to use.
