After the 0.17 update, the $VERSION in base.pm and file.pm hasn't been correctely updated and still say 0.16. -- Cheers, Jasper "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish"

That doesn't matter much. I don't usually update the version number of modules unless there are other changes to the files between releases. In my "system" a version number of 1.16 just means that this module has not changed since Digest-1.16. I'm not totally consistent here as I did bump the version number of Digest::base in 1.16 even if it was the same as in 1.15.
