Subject: documentation for 'file' is incomplete
Thanks for work on Rex, it looks interesting. The 'file' command appears to be an important part of the system, but the documentation is incomplete. Notably, the "options" that it supports have no documentation at all. Also, it is not documented whether the paths displayed are paths on the *server*, or paths on the *client*. Notes about exceptional cases could also be useful. Does "file" behave differently if the target on the server is already present vs missing?
First of all, thanks for reporting this, and apologies for the extremely late answer. Second, I believe the examples and documentation of Rex has been improved a lot since your report, including the 'file' command (you can find it now on the website under API documentation: http://www.rexify.org/api/Rex/Commands/File.pm.html). Should you have further questions about using Rex or the 'file' command, feel free to contact us via one of our channels (http://www.rexify.org/support), or to open issues on GitHub (https://github.com/RexOps/Rex/issues). cheers, FErki
