Subject: cpanm hanging after installation
cpanm is consistently hanging locally for us (even if nothing is installed). For instance, the script hangs after 'Expiring 10 work directories.' below: ========================= cfields@ember:~> uname -a Linux ember 2.6.32.24-0.2.1.2230.2.PTF-default #1 SMP 2010-10-29 16:39:49 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux cfields@ember:~> cpanm -v Moose cpanm (App::cpanminus) 1.4008 on perl 5.010000 built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi Work directory is /u/ac/cfields/.cpanm/work/1316552137.46541 You have make /usr/bin/make You have LWP 5.816 You have /bin/tar: tar (GNU tar) 1.20 Copyright (C) 2008 Free Software Foundation, Inc. Your filesystem may be too slow to remove. Set the --auto-cleanup option to 0.

Yes, that helped. cpanm worked fine in the past, hence my concern, but the system appears to be under heavy I/O load at the moment, hence the hang. Thanks! chris On Sep 20, 2011, at 4:05 PM, Tatsuhiko Miyagawa via RT wrote: Show quoted text
